My cousin was born in this very hospital almost 22 years ago. It is amazing to have heard its history from my uncle and to see how it has changed. I would have never imagined that I get to see my providers and specialists in a safe, clean and inclusive hospital (LGBTQ+ friendly) with friendly and easy to understand staff and medical staff in a fully accessible building, which is especially important for one that has "invisible disabilities" like autoimmune diseases.

Highly recommend! All staff treated me like family! I had a scary episode, lots of pain thinking that maybe it for me… The nurse Jony was so polite and kind and helpful. I originally put a negative review but after the tiring efforts of the doctors here. i would like to first extend my deepest apologies for all the misunderstanding that went back and forth between us. I would like to give credit where credit is due. I had misjudged Dr Kidd. He called me to rectify the frustration of the care I received and the ongoing problems that kept happening. He is now fully aware of everything that went on. He works hard behind the scenes. It is hard to see that when sometimes the communication may have lapsed. He is still resolving things for me currently. I see that as very promising now and has changed my perception of the hospital. Dr Jeffrey Lawrence has been my shining armor. He has been a bright light guiding me from the beginning. He has worked tirelessly. It has been a very difficult experience. I would like to say overall being a patient here since 8/2022 majority of the time they have really tried in their hearts to do the right thing. I really hope going forward that this learning experience can bring on greater things to their team. & much more meaningful experiences.

I had the most amazing delivery experience at MSW. I had a scheduled induction, and the L&D team was incredible. From start to finish, I felt so well attended. As a nervous first time mom who needed a Foley balloon and Pitocin, the anesthesiologists alleviated so much pain with the epidural and regular check-ins. Our nurse Erika was a star; she kept me entertained and distracted throughout the entire process so I didn't freak out. She was knowledgeable, intuitive and so kind, even taking photos we'll cherish for the rest of our lives throughout the delivery; I truly don't know what I would've done without her. Last in L&S, my delivery with Dr Thornton from Viva Eve was seamless and relatively painless. He knew exactly when to push me and when to give me a second to recuperate. Lisa helped get me, dad and baby wrapped and ready for our final destination, and she was so sweet. I am so grateful to the entire team who helped for their support and brilliance. Moving to the postpartum room, I was shocked at how nice the single room was. It felt brand new, well maintained, and perfectly private to enjoy our new sweetie. Visiting hours were 9-9 with flexibility on # of visitors and how many guests in the room during daytime hours. Meals were ordered on the TV, the bed was comfy, and the staff regularly evaluated me and baby and restocked the room with every supply I could ever need. We even got a huge goodie bag to go home with, filled with mama and baby supplies. From Monday @ 1AM - Wednesday @ 12:30PM (we were excited to check out early and get to our own bed), we had the most amazing and beautiful delivery experience as first time parents. We will forever be grateful to the team at MSW for this gift. ❣️

A very special acknowledgment goes to Nurse Megan Mahoney, whose professionalism, compassion, and unwavering support made a profound difference during the care of my daughter, Patricia Contreras. Her attentive and empathetic approach truly exemplifies excellence in patient care. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Christian, the neonatal nurse, whose remarkable dedication, tenderness, and commitment in caring for my newborn twin granddaughters was nothing short of extraordinary. His kindness and genuine love for his work were evident in every moment. It is truly reassuring and inspiring to know that such an exceptional team is entrusted with the care of patients and their families. This hospital is doing much better than the 2.9 rating on Google suggests. A 4.5 or so would be a better reflection of what it offers. The location has been investing in upgrading the hospital to make it more modern, both in terms of medical care and the physical environment. No hospital can achieve a perfect 5-star rating. There are areas that could use improvement, such as post-surgery rooms and the ability for family members to stay overnight after major surgeries. Some staff members could benefit from a change in attitude, and some nurses could be more attentive, especially given the patients who arrive with life-threatening conditions and the need for greater understanding.

My husband and I had a wonderful birth experience recently at Mount Sinai west. From labor and delivery triage to discharge from the postpartum unit, every nurse and staff member was extremely attentive, checking my vitals often and also well being due to a scary birth experience. We felt well cared for each step of the way and owe so much to the whole team. Nurses Saffi and Marjorie were especially wonderful but really everyone had a vital role. I always felt safe and secure and am so grateful for a healthy baby boy after a 5 day hospital stay. Thank you everyone at Mount Sinai West!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care my partner received during our visit to the Emergency Department on March 19, 2026, due to a serious respiratory issue, as well as throughout his subsequent hospitalization. From the very first moment we arrived at the Emergency Department, the medical and nursing staff demonstrated remarkable professionalism, efficiency, and compassion. Despite the high-pressure environment, they responded promptly, carried out all necessary examinations without delay, and ensured that my partner felt safe and well cared for. Their calm and reassuring attitude made a very stressful situation much more manageable for both of us. Following his admission, the quality of care remained consistently outstanding. The doctors were highly attentive, knowledgeable, and always willing to explain the treatment plan in a clear and respectful manner. The nursing staff provided continuous support with kindness, patience, and genuine concern for his well-being. It was evident that teamwork and dedication to patient care are core values of this department. What stood out the most was not only the high level of medical expertise, but also the humanity and empathy shown throughout the entire experience. We felt that my partner was treated not just as a patient, but as a person. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism. My wife and I had a wonderful experience here for the delivery of our daughter Chloe. The nursing staff are all exceptional - especially Alicia and Marjorie. The level of care, experience, and support exceeded all our expectations. The physicians, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists were also excellent and highly professional. We are very grateful.

My wife and I just delivered our 1st child here at Mount Sinai West. It was a fantastic experience! From a staff standpoint, we are super grateful to the nurses both on the delivery floor (Evelyn, Aba, and Emily) and to Devonni and Grace on the recovery/nursery floor. They took special care of my wife during the challenging times and they were extremely patient, informative, and fun to be around, throughout the 2.5 days of our stay. Also, special thanks to our OBGYN, Dr. Jeffrey Yu! He brilliantly guided the pregnancy through all trimesters and delivery. He is professional, pleasant to be around, and attentive. Dr. Yu managed our anxieties, a Type-A Manhattan professional woman :), and he did it with a blend of seriousness and subtle humor. We highly recommend and trust this physician. Lastly, the facilities at the hospital were great. I recommend taking their Maternity hospital tour beforehand to get a personal perspective. We enjoyed our rooms and the hospital food was surprisingly good. They are trying to make the stay more akin to an hotel stay with room service.
